How To Pair Your Phone With Your Ford

Ford is not only making your ride easy by getting from point A to be point B. It's also making it simpler to stay in contact with your loved ones. Our new Ford models at our Colusa area dealer have available SYNC® technology that will allow you to text, call, or even use navigation. We'll explain how to sync your phone with your vehicle. Use the video below and follow along!

1. Make sure your vehicle is in park and your phone is on with Bluetooth also activated.

2. Press the "phone" option on your touchscreen and select "add phone." Here, your SYNC® will begin searching for your device, which you will be able to find on your Bluetooth devices.

3. Once you find SYNC® on your device, sync it! The touchscreen monitor will ask you to confirm the pin number matches the one you have on your phone.

4. If the phone matches the touchscreen monitor's number, then press "yes" on each screen. If your phone does not automatically sync, you may need to enter the pin to sync.

5. Now, SYNC® will download your contact list, have optional 911 Assist, and be able to get in touch with your friends and family.

6. You can also pair another device if you choose to do so. This can be accomplished by going through "phone," "view devices," and "add Bluetooth device."

7. You can select favorites from these paired devices and switch between them depending on the driver present in the vehicle.

SYNC® Connect powered by FordPass™: FordPass™ assists you in staying in the know with your Ford. This can be as simple as knowing the vehicle's location, to something more advanced like fuel level. You can also schedule specific times to remote start your vehicle so it's ready to hit the road when you are!

Wi-Fi Hotspot: When properly equipped, passengers can use Wi-Fi hotspot. Up to ten devices can connect at once and FordPass™ will keep track of your data usage.
